Boobalicious Ball 2025 — A Celebration of Courage, Scars, and Sisterhood

For those who haven’t heard of it, the Boobalicious Ball is one of Perth’s most iconic fundraising galas — a night of glamour, music and most importantly, raising awareness and funds for breast cancer support.
Beyond the sequins and champagne, the highlight of the evening is the runway show where breast cancer survivors — our “breasties” take to the stage.
It’s a runway like no other. Scars are not hidden, they’re honored. Stories are not tucked away, they’re celebrated. The women who step onto that stage aren’t models by profession — they’re warriors, mothers, sisters, friends. They walk not despite their scars, but because of them.
I attended this year’s ball with my best friend — the one who has been by my side through the messy in-betweens of life and together we cheered until our voices cracked. Watching these women strut, laugh and sometimes cry as the crowd erupted was one of the most powerful reminders of what it means to truly celebrate a body.
Not for how flawless it looks, but for how bravely it carries us forward.
As I sat there, sequins catching the light, I thought about how much power there is in community. How healing multiplies when we gather not just to survive, but to celebrate. To cheer each other on. To say: your story, your body, your bloom — all of it belongs here.
The Boobalicious Ball is proof that celebration itself can be medicine, joy is rebellion, scars can be art and that sisterhood is one of the fiercest forces in the world.
So here’s to my breasties who dared the runway. Here’s to the friends who never leave our side and here’s to every woman learning that she doesn’t have to wait for permission to take up space, sparkle and shine.
Life is too short not to celebrate — scars, sequins, and all!
My invitation to you
Think of a moment where you witnessed someone else’s courage and it awakened something in you.
What did their bravery give you permission to embrace in your own life?
